Creating and Managing a Stable as an Operator in StalliQ

As of: July 2026 · App version 1.0.0+ · Last verified: 07/07/2026

How to create your stable in StalliQ: A stable is not created in the app but through the web portal (portal.stalliq.app) - the app itself is for day-to-day management and your members. Register in the portal, click "Create stable" and enter a name - that's all you need to get started. Every new stable automatically starts with a free 4-week trial with the full feature set; after that you need a stable subscription starting at €45/month plus VAT (bookable directly in the portal). Once your stable exists, you are automatically registered as the owner with full permissions, and StalliQ generates a 6-digit invite code that you share with your members. After that, you set up facilities, skill levels, school horses, and the schedule (see Setting up school operations).

How do I create my stable?

Stables in StalliQ are created through the web portal (portal.stalliq.app), not in the app:

  1. Open portal.stalliq.app and sign in with your StalliQ account (or register).
  2. Click "Create stable" and enter the name of your stable (required field). You can add the address and country right away.
  3. Creating the stable automatically starts your free 4-week trial - you can get going immediately. One stable per account.
  4. After the trial (or anytime before), book your stable subscription directly in the portal.

When the stable is created, only the essentials are stored at first; you can add all further details (description, opening hours, stable rules, contact) anytime in the app under Admin → Settings → Stable information:

Once your stable exists, you are automatically registered as the owner with full permissions and can start setting it up right away - for a recommended order, see Setting up school operations.

How do I invite members?

After creation, StalliQ generates a 6-digit invite code (e.g. "A3K9M2"). You'll find this code under Admin → Organization → Invite code. Share the code with your members - by message, notice board, or word of mouth.

When a member enters the code in their app, you receive a push notification and see the request in the Members tab under "Join requests". Tap "Accept" to unlock the member, or "Reject" to turn the request down.

You can regenerate the invite code at any time (the old one then becomes invalid) - the button for this is right under Admin → Organization → Invite code.

What roles are there?

StalliQ has four standard roles with configurable permissions:

Owner - Full access to all features. Can manage roles, settings, and the stable itself.

Manager - Can use the schedule, members, facilities, lesson cards, and most management features. Cannot change stable settings.

Riding instructor - By default: record attendance, view all bookings, and manage skill levels. Further rights such as editing the schedule or managing horse assignments can be added per role.

Member - Can view the schedule, book riding lessons, read announcements, and use lesson cards. No management features.

The permissions for each role are configurable under Admin → Organization → Roles & Permissions.

What can I do in the management area?

The Admin tab (its own pill tab at the top stable level, visible to owners and authorized roles) is divided into the following areas:

Riding School - Booking rules and deadlines, school horse settings (max. lessons per day, rest days), lesson card types, and the schedule (create and edit riding lessons). This is where school operations are set up. You'll find a complete step-by-step guide with the recommended order under Setting up school operations.

Infrastructure - Manage facilities & arenas, disciplines, and skill levels.

Organization - Roles & Permissions and the invite code.

Settings - Stable information (name, address, description, opening hours, stable rules, contact), visibility, weather alerts, billing, and the danger zone (transfer stable, delete stable).

Statistics - Utilization, revenue, and member metrics for your stable.

Receivables - An overview of open cash receivables.

Tasks - Manage stable tasks.

Subscription & billing - Stable subscription and invoice details.

The permissions are grouped into 6 categories (Administration, Scheduling, Facilities, Horses, Communication, Education) with a total of 16 individual rights - including manage stable settings, manage roles, manage members, manage schedule, manage quotas, manage skill levels, and manage horse assignments.

Members and Horses, by contrast, are their own pill tabs at the top stable level (not part of Admin). In the Members tab you also set the skill level of individual members.

How do I manage my stable's members?

In the Members tab you see all accepted members with name, role, and skill level. For pending join requests, a "Join requests" badge appears at the top.

Tap a member to open the detail page. There you can:
