Joining a stable in StalliQ

As of: May 2026 · App version 1.0.0+ · Last verified: 31/05/2026

Here's how to join a stable in StalliQ: Open the Stable tab, tap "Join stable", enter the 6-digit invitation code and confirm. Your stable operator gets a notification and approves you. After that you have access to the schedule, resource booking, announcements, the weather widget and your lesson cards. Joining and using StalliQ as a member are free.

Requirements

You need a StalliQ account (see Getting started) and your stable's 6-digit invitation code. Ask your stable operator or riding instructor for the code.

How do I join a stable?

Open the Stable tab in the bottom navigation. If you don't belong to a stable yet, you'll see the "Join stable" button. Tap it.

Step 1: Enter the 6-digit invitation code (letters and numbers, e.g. "A3K9M2"). Below the input field you'll see the hint "Ask the stable owner for the code". Tap "Next".

Step 2: StalliQ shows you the stable it found, with name and address. Check that it's the right stable and tap "Join stable".

Step 3: You'll see the confirmation "Join request sent. Waiting for confirmation." Your stable operator is notified by push notification and can accept your request. As soon as you're approved, you have full access to all stable features.

What do I see in the Stable tab after joining?

Once you're approved, the Stable tab shows several areas via pill toggles:

Overview - Your stable dashboard with the weather widget (3-day forecast with warnings for frost, wind or thunderstorms), your stable operator's current announcements, your next bookings, your lesson card balances and the stable information (address, opening hours, stable rules, contact).

Occupancy - The schedule as a weekly view with all riding lessons and resource bookings. This is where you book riding lessons, reserve facilities and see how busy things are. Details under Booking riding lessons.

Members - The member list with names, roles and skill levels.

What can I do as a stable member?

As a member you have access to:

Not available for regular members: administration (settings, roles, creating the schedule), processing member requests and viewing the invitation code. These functions are reserved for stable operators and managers.

What are announcements?

Your stable operator can publish announcements on the bulletin board - for example "Arena closed due to frost" or "New course schedule starting next week". Announcements have three priority levels: Urgent (red), Important (orange) and Normal (gray). Depending on the configuration, you may also receive a push notification.

How does the weather widget work?

The weather widget shows the 3-day forecast for your stable's location. It warns you automatically about special conditions: frost (below 0°C), strong wind, thunderstorms and heat. If your stable has weather push enabled, you'll receive a notification when extreme weather is expected.

How do I leave a stable?

If you want to leave a stable, open the Stable tab and go to the stable settings. There you'll find the "Leave stable" option. After leaving, you no longer have access to the schedule, your bookings and the stable features. Your personal horse data (profiles, health, appointments) stays fully intact.

When you leave, StalliQ automatically cleans up your stable links: open riding lesson bookings are cancelled, horse sharings on stable horses end, and your own horses that you'd boarded at this stable are removed from the stable (the horse itself stays with you). If you still have an active lesson card with a remaining balance, sort that out with your stable operator first - leaving is only possible once there's no open card left. The same applies if a stable operator removes you from the stable.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I get the invitation code for my stable in StalliQ?

Ask your stable operator or riding instructor. The 6-digit invitation code is generated by the stable operator in the administration area and can be passed on by message, notice or word of mouth.

Why don't I see anything in the StalliQ Stable tab after joining?

Your stable operator has to confirm your join request first. Until you're approved, you have no access to the stable features. Ask your stable operator whether they've seen the request in the member list under "Join requests".

Can I join several stables at once in StalliQ?

No, you can currently join one stable. If you want to switch stables, leave the current stable first and then join the new one.

Does it cost anything to join a stable in StalliQ?

No. Joining and full use as a member - including booking riding lessons, lesson cards, announcements and the weather widget - are free. Only the stable operator pays for the stable subscription.

My invitation code in StalliQ isn't working - what should I do?

Check that you entered the code correctly (6 characters, uppercase letters and numbers). If the error message "Invalid invitation code" appears, the stable operator may have generated a new code. If "Maximum number of members reached" appears, the stable has hit its member limit - the stable operator can raise the limit by upgrading the stable subscription.
