How to manage your horse's health in StalliQ: Open the horse profile and select the "Health" tab. There you'll find eight areas: health record (vet, vaccination, deworming and more), document symptoms, allergies & intolerances, chronic conditions, weight history, insurance, Doc Scan (AI-powered document recognition) and health record export as PDF. All entries flow together into a chronological health timeline.

What does the Health tab show?

The Health tab is set up as a tile overview. Each tile shows the number of entries and notices (e.g. "Overdue" for pending vaccinations). The tiles at a glance:

Via the "History" tile you reach the health timeline: a chronological view of all entries, filterable by category. From there you can also export the health record as a PDF - for the vet or the insurance company.

How do I keep the health record?

The health record documents all treatments and preventive appointments for your horse. StalliQ offers 10 categories: vet, vaccination, deworming, dentist, farrier, injury, illness, surgery, prevention and other. After saving an entry, StalliQ automatically suggests a follow-up appointment (e.g. next vaccination in 12 months).

How do I document symptoms?

Symptoms are recorded with category (e.g. lameness, signs of colic), severity (1–5), description and an optional photo. Via the observation history you can document the development of a symptom over time - each new observation is saved as an entry with date, severity and photo. A sparkline chart shows the severity progression at a glance.

What is the Doc Scan?

With the Doc Scan you photograph vet bills, vaccination passports or findings, and the AI (Claude Vision) automatically extracts: date, issuer, diagnoses, treatments, medications, costs and the next appointment. You review the recognized data and can use it to create a health entry, a cost record and a follow-up appointment with a single tap.

Each scan uses one AI credit. On the FREE plan you get 3 credits per month, on PLUS 15 and on PRO 50. The document AI as a feature is available from the PRO plan. Details under Pricing and plans.

How do I manage insurance?

StalliQ supports 8 insurance types: surgery, health, combined (full health), liability, life, theft, transport and other. You can add insurance policies manually or have them filled in automatically via policy scan (AI). StalliQ knows 32 insurers in the DACH region with all current tariffs and shows coverage highlights and tariff updates for health insurance.

Frequently asked questions

Does StalliQ replace the vet?

No. StalliQ is a documentation tool, not medical advice. The app helps you document symptoms, treatments and medications without gaps - but for acute symptoms you should always contact a vet.

How do I see all health data at a glance in StalliQ?

Open the horse profile, go to the "Health" tab and tap the "History" tile. The health timeline shows all entries (health record, symptoms, allergies, weight) sorted chronologically. You can filter by category.

Can I share health data in StalliQ with my vet?

Yes. Share your horse with your vet (role "Vet" under horse profile → Share). They can then view the health data and create entries themselves. Alternatively, you can export all data as a file via the data export (More tab → Settings).

Is health data stored encrypted in StalliQ?

Yes. All health data is transmitted encrypted (TLS) and stored on European servers (Frankfurt). Access is limited to the owner and authorized people via row-level security. StalliQ processes health data only with your explicit consent (requested during onboarding).
