As of: June 2026 · App version 1.0.0+ · Last verified: 22/06/2026

How to manage family members in StalliQ: Go to More → Family → Managed persons and tap the plus button. Enter the name and, optionally, the date of birth. After that, your stable operator can assign the person a skill level. When you book a riding lesson, the question "Book for whom?" appears automatically - choose between yourself and your managed people. Each person has their own booking limits and lesson cards.

What are managed people for?

Managed people are family members (e.g. children) without their own StalliQ account, for whom you want to book riding lessons. Instead of creating a separate account for each child, you manage the bookings centrally through your own account.

How do I add a managed person?

Go to More tab → "Family" section → Managed persons and tap the plus button.

Tap "Save".

How does my child get a skill level?

You can't set the skill level yourself - that's done by the stable operator or manager. They open the Members tab in the stable, tap your membership and then tap the person in the "Managed persons" section to assign them a skill level.

As soon as the person is assigned to at least one stable, the "Stable assignments" area appears on the edit screen, showing the assigned skill level per stable. If none has been assigned yet, it says "No skill level yet" with the note "Set by stable management" below. Without any stable assignment, this area is not visible.

How do I book for a managed person?

When you book a riding lesson, a selection field "Book for whom?" appears automatically if you have added managed people. Choose the family member's name. The booking then runs under that person - with their own booking limit and quota.

In the lessons and in the booking confirmation, the managed person's name is shown in muted grey text (e.g. "For: Lisa", and "via Lisa" in participant lists).

How do I cancel a booking for a managed person?

If you have booked for yourself and one or more family members, you can cancel each booking individually. Open the riding lesson in the "Lessons" tab and tap "Manage bookings". A list of all people appears with their booking status - you can book or cancel for each person individually. That way you don't have to cancel all bookings at once if, for example, only your child is sick.

What's different about managed people?

Each managed person has:

How do I delete a managed person?

Go to More → Family → Managed persons, open the person and tap "Delete" at the bottom. A confirmation dialog warns: "All bookings and quotas for [Name] will also be deleted." This action cannot be undone.

Frequently asked questions

Does my child need their own StalliQ account?

No. Managed people don't need their own account. You manage everything through your account - bookings, quotas and skill level.

Can I add several children as managed people in StalliQ?

Yes, there is no limit on the number of managed people. Each child gets their own skill level and their own lesson cards.

Does the riding instructor see my child's name on the booking in StalliQ?

Yes. In the participant list of the riding lesson, the riding instructor sees the managed person's name and can assign them a school horse and record their attendance.

Can my managed person later get their own account in StalliQ?

Currently there is no automatic migration from a managed person to their own account. When your child is old enough for their own account, they create a new StalliQ account and you delete the managed person.
