Creating appointments and using the calendar in StalliQ

As of: May 2026 · App version 1.0.0+ · Last verified: 17/05/2026

Here's how to create an appointment in StalliQ: Open the Calendar tab, tap the turquoise plus button, choose the appointment type (vet, farrier, vaccination, etc.), enter the date and a title, and tap "Save". StalliQ offers a month view with an inline calendar, push reminders (up to 1 week in advance), and recurring appointments for regular visits like the farrier or vaccinations.

What does the calendar in StalliQ look like?

The Calendar tab shows an interactive month view. Days with appointments are marked with colored dots. Tap a day to see all appointments from that date onwards as a list.

At the top you'll find the navigation: arrows to page forward and back between months, a "Today" button to jump to the current day, and a month picker (tap the month name). If you have several horses, a horse filter appears - so you only see appointments for the selected horse.

How do I create a new appointment?

In the Calendar tab, tap the turquoise plus button at the bottom right. The form contains the following fields:

Required fields:

Optional fields:

Tap "Save" at the top right.

What appointment types are there?

StalliQ offers nine appointment types, each with its own icon and color:

How do I set a reminder?

In the appointment form under "Reminder", you choose from five options:

You receive the reminder as a push notification on your smartphone. Requirement: push notifications must be enabled in the app settings and in your device settings. Quiet hours (configurable under More → Profile → Notifications) are respected.

How do I create recurring appointments?

In the appointment form, enable the "Repeat" section and choose a pattern:

With the custom pattern you set: how often (e.g. "Every 3 weeks"), on which weekdays (Mon–Sun), and when the series ends (never, after a certain number, or up to a date).

Recurring appointments appear in the calendar on all scheduled days. You can edit or delete individual occurrences without changing the whole series.

How do I edit an existing appointment?

In the calendar, tap the appointment and then "Edit". You can change any field. For recurring appointments, you'll be asked whether the change should affect only this single appointment or all future appointments in the series.

After a treatment, you can document the results in the "Result / Findings" field - that way you have the treatment history right at the appointment.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see only the appointments of a specific horse in StalliQ?

In the calendar, tap the horse filter at the top (shows "All horses" by default). Select the horse you want - the calendar then shows only its appointments. Alternatively, you'll find all of a horse's appointments in the horse profile under the "Appointments" tab.

Can I see appointments for several horses at once in StalliQ?

Yes, that's the default view. The calendar shows appointments for all horses with colored dots. In the appointment list, the horse's name is shown next to each entry. You can narrow it down to a single horse at any time using the horse filter.

How do I delete a recurring appointment in StalliQ?

Tap one of the recurring appointments and choose "Delete". You'll be asked: "Only this appointment", "This and all future ones", or "All appointments in the series". Choose the right option. With the first two options, past appointments in the series are kept.

Are appointments in StalliQ automatically linked to the health record?

When you create a health entry (vet, vaccination, etc.), StalliQ suggests a follow-up appointment - e.g. the next vaccination in 12 months or the next farrier appointment in 6 weeks. This is then created as a regular calendar appointment with a reminder.
