StalliQ won't sync - fixing offline problems

As of: May 2026 · App version 1.0.0+ · Last verified: 17/05/2026

The most common cause: no internet connection. StalliQ syncs your data automatically in the background as soon as a connection is available. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. If the connection is up and syncing still doesn't work: close the app completely and restart it. As a last step: sign out and back in - this clears the local cache and reloads all data fresh from the server.

How does syncing work?

StalliQ keeps a local copy of your data on the device. That means:

How do I fix syncing problems?

Step 1 - Check the internet: Open a browser and load a web page. If that doesn't work, the problem is with your connection, not with StalliQ.

Step 2 - Restart the app: Close StalliQ completely (don't just minimize it - remove it from the app switcher) and open it again. Syncing starts automatically.

Step 3 - Switch connections: Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or the other way around. Some networks block certain connections.

Step 4 - Sign out and back in: Go to More → Profile → "Sign out". Signing out fully clears the local cache. Then sign back in - all data is reloaded fresh from the server. Your data isn't lost in the process, it's just downloaded again.

Step 5 - Update the app: Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Common questions

Will my data in StalliQ be lost when I'm offline?

No. All data is stored on the server. The local copy on your device is just a cache for quick access. When you sign out and back in, all data is downloaded again.

Why can't I book a riding lesson offline in StalliQ?

Bookings require a server-side check: Are there still free spots? Is your skill level high enough? Has the booking limit been reached? These checks can only be done online, to avoid double bookings and errors.

How do I tell in StalliQ whether I'm online or offline?

StalliQ shows a notice at the top of the screen when there's no connection. Normally (online) no special notice is visible.

Can I force a sync in StalliQ?

There's currently no manual "force sync" function. Syncing runs automatically as soon as an internet connection is available. If it doesn't start: close the app and open it again, or sign out and back in.
