The most common cause: no internet connection. StalliQ needs an active internet connection and loads your data live from the server every time you use it. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. If the connection is up and data still doesn't appear: close the app completely and restart it. As a last step: sign out and back in - this resets the session cache and loads all data fresh from the server.
How does data loading work?
StalliQ is an online app: your data lives on the server and is loaded live every time you use the app. That means:
- Internet required: Both reading and writing need an active connection. Without internet, no data can be retrieved or saved.
- Server-side checks: New bookings, cancellations and messages are validated server-side (e.g. capacity checks for riding lessons) and therefore strictly require a connection.
- Automatic refresh: When you open a view or switch back to a tab, StalliQ reloads the data from the server so you see the current state.
What needs a connection?
Every feature in StalliQ needs an internet connection - both reading and writing data. There is currently no offline reading mode and no local offline copy of your data on the device.
These in particular rely on a stable connection:
- Booking and cancelling riding lessons
- Lesson card usage
- Sending and receiving messages
- Document AI (OCR scan)
- Receiving push notifications
How do I fix loading problems?
Step 1 - Check the internet: Open a browser and load a web page. If that doesn't work, the problem is with your connection, not with StalliQ.
Step 2 - Refresh the view: Switch tabs and come back, or reopen the affected view. StalliQ loads the data fresh from the server when you do.
Step 3 - Restart the app: Close StalliQ completely (don't just minimize it - remove it from the app switcher) and open it again.
Step 4 - Switch connections: Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data or the other way around. Some networks block certain connections.
Step 5 - Sign out and back in: Go to the More tab and tap "Sign Out" at the very bottom. This resets the app's session cache. Then sign back in - all data is loaded fresh from the server. Your data isn't lost in the process, it's just downloaded again.
Step 6 - Update the app: Make sure you have the latest version installed from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Common questions
Will my data in StalliQ be lost when I have no connection?
No. All data is stored on the server. StalliQ does not keep a permanent local copy on your device. When you sign out and back in, all data is downloaded again from the server.
Why can't I book a riding lesson in StalliQ without a connection?
Bookings require a server-side check: Are there still free spots? Is your skill level high enough? Has the booking limit been reached? These checks can only be done online, to avoid double bookings and errors.
How do I tell in StalliQ whether I have a connection?
StalliQ does not show its own connection notice on the edge of the screen. You'll recognize a connection problem when an error message appears while loading or saving, or when views stay empty. In that case, check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
Can I trigger a manual refresh in StalliQ?
There's no dedicated "force sync" function. StalliQ automatically reloads the data when you open a view or switch back to a tab. If nothing appears anyway: close the app and open it again, or sign out and back in.
