Fixing login problems in StalliQ

The most common cause of login problems in StalliQ is a typo in your email address or password. Check both carefully, watch out for spaces at the start/end, and try again. If you've forgotten your password, tap "Forgot password?" and follow the instructions. For Apple or Google Sign-In: make sure you're using the same method you originally registered with.

Why do I see "Invalid email or password"?

This message appears when the email address isn't registered or the password is wrong. For security reasons, StalliQ doesn't reveal which of the two is incorrect.

Steps to fix it:

  1. Check the email address for typos (capitalization doesn't matter)
  2. Check the password - watch out for spaces at the start or end
  3. If you registered with Apple or Google, use the matching button instead of email/password
  4. If you're not sure whether you have an account: try to register - if the email is already in use, StalliQ shows "This email is already in use"

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?". Enter your registered email address and tap "Send link". You'll receive an email with a reset link that's valid for 24 hours.

Why isn't Apple Sign-In working?

"Sign-in failed" with Apple Sign-In can have the following causes:

Why do I keep getting logged out?

StalliQ normally keeps your session active as long as you open the app regularly. An automatic logout happens when:

Solution: Just sign in again. If the problem keeps happening, clear the app cache (iOS: Settings → StalliQ → Clear app storage; Android: Settings → Apps → StalliQ → Clear cache) and sign in again.

Quick checklist when nothing works

  1. Check your internet connection - can you open a website in your browser?
  2. Fully close the app and restart it
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check whether the latest app version is installed (App Store / Google Play)
  5. Clear the app cache and sign in again

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch between email login and Apple/Google in StalliQ?

No. The sign-in method is set during registration. If you registered with Apple Sign-In, you always have to sign in with Apple. Switching methods isn't possible at the moment.

I've forgotten my registration email - what now?

Try all the email addresses you usually use. If you registered with Apple Sign-In, Apple may have generated a private relay address - in that case, sign in via the Apple button, not by email.

My StalliQ password isn't accepted when resetting it - why?

The password must be at least 8 characters long and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. The live validation below the password field shows you with checkmarks which requirements are already met.

I get the error message "This email is already in use" in StalliQ - what does that mean?

An account with this email address already exists. Switch to the sign-in screen and log in instead of registering. If you've forgotten your password, use "Forgot password?".
