Here's how to manage contacts in StalliQ: Go to More → Service providers and tap the plus button. Enter a name and type (vet, farrier, etc.) - and optionally a phone number, email, address and notes. Saved contacts appear as a selection in the "Service provider" field when you create appointments and health entries, so you can assign them quickly.
Which contact types are there?
StalliQ offers eight types, each with its own icon:
- Vet - Vets and animal clinics
- Farrier - Hoof care and shoeing
- Dentist - Equine dentists
- Osteopath - Equine osteopaths and physiotherapists
- Trainer - Riding instructors and professional riders
- Stable - Stables and boarding facilities
- Feed supplier - Feed and bedding suppliers
- Other - All other service providers
Above the contact list you can filter by type to quickly find the right contact.
How do I add a contact?
In the Service providers area, tap the plus button. The form contains:
- Name - Required field
- Type - Required field (vet, farrier, etc.)
- Company - Optional (e.g. "Anytown Animal Clinic")
- Phone and Mobile - Tap to call
- Email - Tap to send mail
- Website - Tap to open
- Address - Street, city, ZIP code, country
- Notes - Free text field
Tap "Save". Contacts can be marked as a favorite (star icon) - favorites appear at the very top of lists.
How do I link contacts to appointments?
When creating an appointment (e.g. a vet visit), you'll find the "Service provider" field. Your saved contacts appear there as a dropdown, filtered by matching type. You can also create a new contact directly from the appointment form.
The same applies to health entries in the health record - your contacts are offered in the "Service provider" field.
Frequently asked questions
Can I call directly from a contact in StalliQ?
Yes. Open the contact and tap the phone number or mobile number. StalliQ opens your device's phone app with the number pre-filled. Tapping the email address (opens the mail app) and the website (opens the browser) works the same way.
Are contacts in StalliQ shared with shared users?
Contacts are tied to your profile, not to an individual horse. If you share a horse, the other person only sees the contacts if they are assigned as the service provider on an appointment or health entry.
Can I import contacts into StalliQ?
An automatic import from your phone's address book isn't available right now. Contacts are added manually. With the AI document scan, the recognized issuer is automatically suggested as a contact.
